The Jamaica Observer, which was the first newspaper to cover the recent crash of American Airlines Flight 331, continues coverage of the crash. The plane was hoisted away to a nearby hangar last night.
Civil Aviation Authorities expect transcripts from the flight’s data recorder next week, and are nearing the end of their investigations.
The real heroes of the disaster were interviewed. One woman witnessed the plane come down just meters from the city bus that she was driving.
One couple with two young children missed this fateful flight, and has some sage advice for fellow travellers.
Amid the heavy rains on Tuesday night, December 22, American Airlines flight 331, which departed from Miami with 148 passengers and 6 crew members came in for what appeared to be a routine landing. The plane, however, ran off the runway, broke through a perimeter fence, crossed over a mainroad (which apparently didn’t have any traffic at that hour), and came to a stop on the Port Royal Beach.
